Mechanical Handling Engineer

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Handling Engineer on a 6 month contract basis.<br />
<br />
The role will include development of Mechanical Handling requirements for FEED design of a major offshore oil and gas complex, including identification of mechanical handling routes, lifting beam and access hatch requirements for movement of equipment components and maintenance items. Scope will include Mechanical Handling Philosophies and Reports.<br />

<b>Skills / Qualifications </b><br />
<br />
<b>Experience </b></p>

<ul>
<li>Knowledge of cranes, hoists and other mechanical equipment. Prior experience in similar work during FEED and Detailed design of offshore platforms is required.</li>
</ul>

<li>Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.</li>
<li>Ability to use NavisWork. PDMS/E3D capability will be an advantage, but not essential.</li>
