General Assistant

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood is currently recruiting for a General Assistant on the Scott on a 2/3 rotation.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Become familiar with the UQ and DP Plant equipment, layout and plant operations taking advantage of training material available.</li>
<li>Assist Production Technicians in their duties as required as instructed by the Lead Production Technician. Required and fill - in daily oil usage logs.</li>
<li>Inform the Area Technician of any excessive oil usage in any of the above equipment.</li>
<li>Assist in DP equipment oil top ups are required.</li>
<li>Take and understand UQ and DP Process readings and logs when required if Area Production Technicians are busy.</li>
<li>Report any deviations in readings or alarms to the Area Technician or Lead Production Technician.</li>
<li>Carry out area inspections of the UQ and DP Platforms as per the weekly inspection sheets and to report any defect to the lead Production Technician with the appropriate Work Order or Fabric Maintenance form.</li>
<li>Create and maintain an area log with defects listed and check progress on a weekly basis, reporting any anomalies to the Production Lead Technician.</li>
<li>Check all hose stations and ensure area round stations and tidy and clear.</li>
<li>Check hoses are tagged as per Platform Taggering procedure and remove/report any visible defects.</li>
<li>Note any new or condemned hoses such that they can be added or removed from the hose inspection Vendors list/register.</li>
<li>Check wash down cabinets to ensure wash down hoses are fit for purpose and order new hoses required.</li>
<li>Check and maintain all machine beds on weekly basis. Ensure any soak pads are replaced and any oil leaks are reported to the Area Technician and Lead Production Technician.</li>
<li>Maintain oil stocks and liaise with Area Technicians, Drilling and Material Controller for oils required and replacements.</li>
<li>Check all bunded areas to ensure they are in good condition and order and replace drums as required.</li>
<li>Ensure adequate stocks at fixed skids such as Lintot Panel Oil Tank are maintained and that emergency supplies are available at various subsea HPU&
39;s.</li>
<li>Check all emergency spill cabinets are well stocked and tidy condition; ensure such cabinets are soft locked.</li>
<li>Monitor soak pad boxes and arrange with deck crew to refill as required.</li>
<li>Report any overfilled bins to deck crew to empty when required.</li>
<li>Carry out emergency response duties as required .</li>
<li>Comply with company training, competency and personal development programmes.</li>
</ul>
