Job Summary Responsible for participating as an technical expert in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, contributing to new products implementation, implementing existing products and services and providing the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Interfaces with vendors, Engineering and peer operations organizations. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. Does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities. May direct workflow and act as a technical lead. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise. Job Description SR Virtualization and Windows Infrastructure System Admin manages the operations of systems related to operating systems and virtualization infrastructure. The administrator demonstrates an understanding of how OS and Virtualization behaves in order to deploy, configure, operate and troubleshoot systems and virtualization infrastructure. Additionally, the administrator researches new technologies and leverages optimization techniques to ensure that systems operate efficiently. Core Responsibilities What You'll Do: Maintains server and Virtualization environments for the enterprise Maintains the operations of systems to ensure availability Troubleshoots and resolves any IT service issues related to operating systems and servers Partners with the infrastructure team to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a teamoriented environment L1 / L2 incidents management § L3 operation and critical support execution Prioritize system recovery in the event of a failure Implements standards for servers, operating systems Leverages optimization techniques to maximize the efficiency of all managed systems Works with third-party vendors and consultants on developing system-specific skills Required Experience and Skills Microsoft Operating Systems Server, VMware NSX, VMware vRealize, VMware vSan, VMware vSphere (vCenter ed ESXi) , Citrix, Powercli Scripting, Powershell Scripting, Microfocus Server Automation, AWS Nice to have: Ansible playbook Scripting, Azure, GCP Comcast is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
