Senior Planning Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting a Senior Planning Engineer to join our Project Control team. <br><br>In this role, you will provide a complete planning service to the project management team that has proven expertise in managing large, complex projects with a global reach. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in upstream oil and gas, midstream, LNG, refining, petrochemicals and chemicals. <br><ul><li> Development of detailed engineering schedules in conjunction with lead discipline engineers </li><li> Development of engineering progress measurement systems and reporting of progress and productivity </li><li> Co-ordination of schedule interfaces between licensors' and subcontractors' activities </li><li> Provide regular forecasting of project schedule including key milestones </li><li> Lead regular schedule review meetings with the project team </li><li> Production of weekly and monthly progress reports to the project management team </li><li> Mentoring and development of locally hired Planning team members, where appropriate </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Relevant degree / Chartered Engineer or appropriate experience </li><li> A proven track record in engineering and construction of refinery, oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar facilities </li><li> Experience of FEED and EPC projects, including revamp projects </li><li> A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done </li><li> Excellent communication skills </li><li> Expert with Primavera P6 and spreadsheets, with database capability </li><li> Self-motivated, energetic, and tenacious </li><li> Spanish language at native level </li><li> Excellent command of English </li><li> Available immediately </li><li> Valid European Work Permit </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
