<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>Science Technician required for outstanding secondary school in South West London</p><p> </p><p>An outstanding secondary school and sixth form in South London is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and hard-working science technician to join their Science Department on a permanent basis. This is a full-time position, term time only, with an immediate start.</p><p> </p><p>This diverse, inclusive inner London secondary school offers a caring and inclusive environment with a vision to provide an excellent learning environment where all students are given access to the highest standard of education to enable them to achieve their best and go on to fulfil their future ambitions.</p><p> </p><p>The science department is very highly regarded for its outstanding teaching and engaging curriculum and has a team of dedicated science teachers with a passion for science. The school offers science up to A Level and well as BTEC Science and Applied Biology with lessons taught in state of the art laboratories and facilities.</p><p> </p><p>In this Science Technician role, you will be joining a successful and supportive Science Department. You will be working closely with the Head of Department, other teaching staff and the Senior Technician to ensure a seamless running of the science laboratories, providing outstanding technical support to teaching staff and students across KS3 to KS5.</p><p> </p><p>Duties will include:</p><ul><li>Setting up practical tasks across Biology, Chemistry and Physics from Key Stage 3 up to A level and BTEC Science</li><li>Providing in-class support to teachers and students and running practical demonstrations</li><li>Maintaining all laboratory and equipment to the highest standard</li><li>Stocktaking of supplies, managing stock levels placing orders</li><li>Ensuring COSHH and Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times.</li></ul><p> </p><p>A degree in science is essential for this role. Previous school experience will be highly regarded, however recent science graduates are encouraged to apply.</p><p> </p><p>This secondary school was rated Outstanding in its most recent Ofsted.
