Role: – Function the new flavour testing for faster turnaround time of innovation development in China as well as supporting the new flavor blending capability that PD is establishing in Asia R&D. – Close up the gap in forensics testing to drive quick decision making for Beverage/Nutrition troubleshooting and crisis for China region. – Provide technical support to Beverage innovation projects. – Establish Beverage & Nutrition volatile research capability in MS Shanghai lab to fill in the technical&resource gap and meet the increasing business needs such as Beverage sugar reduction projects. – The geographic scope of this role covers flavour testing for Beverage China, forensics testing for Beverage/Nutrition China and innovation testing for APAC & AEMSA. Accountabilities: – Drive forensics solution to solve high priority requests from APAC R&D, PGCS China & Supply chain. – Lead Flavor QC work in SH lab to enable fast flavor local approval. – Effectively execute the process/best practice/internal-external testing principle of Measurement Sciences organization; Implement the method development and validation process in time and with high quality. – Establish volatile research capability in MS Shanghai lab to support Beverage innovation projects such as sugar reduction etc. – Provide smart testing and real time analytical solution to Beverage categories for APAC. – Maintains, tracks and levereage Digital systems (e.g., DELTA) and work processes to sustain Quality. – Initiate and execute research experimental designs. Analyze, interpret data and present reports with technical insights. – Train other colleagues on the professional skills. – Champion and embed GCS understanding, control, ownership and execution within GCR to achieve an effective audit rating. External: – Contract Labs and acedeminc institutes. – Instrument Suppliers. Qualifications/Requirements Requirements: – At least 7 years working experience in analytical lab. – MS in Chemistry or Food. – Project/people management skill, problem solving ability and passion for growth are required. – Good communication and influencing skill is strongly required. – Ability to flawlessly execute analytical processes using appropriate GLP is required. – 3~5 years of experience on chromatography (LC/MS, GC/MS) is required. – Fluent English is required for both oral and written. – Computer skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, are required. – Excellent written and oral communication skills. – Ability to communicate confidently and effectively in a timely manner. – Demonstrates perseverance and resilience in the pursuit of goals. – Demonstrates a sense of passion, enjoyment, and pride about his/her work. – Displays responsible and ethical behaviour toward customers, suppliers and others in the organization. – Consistently follows the meaning and intent of company policies and standards (e.g., Code of Conduct).Relocation Eligible: Not Applicable Job Type: Regular
