Sr. QA Analyst

Segment : S&P Dow Jones Indices The Role :Senior Quality Assurance Analyst The Impact : S&P Dow Jones Indices is seeking a Mumbai based Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to be a key player in planning, preparation and execution of tests for core application team. This role requires a seasoned QA analyst who works effectively, both independently as well as collaboratively, in a team environment. The candidate must be a delivery-focused person with financial applications experience and skills. What’s in it for you :The candidate will assist with creating and executing test cases, automation of tests, gather test metrics, do deployments in the QA environment, co-ordinate production deployments and release planning. Responsibilities: • Develop and document application test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications • Evaluate requirements and define testing objectives and approaches while working in Agile methodology • Continuous review and improvement of the testing and quality assurance methodologies and measurement of these processes • Test and respond to Software Quality Assurance issues with related groups such as Development, Database, Integration, and Customer Support • Understand business model and customer needs and apply/modify QA techniques accordingly • Provide effective communication regarding issues, testing status and potential risks • Effectively interact with global customers, business users and IT staff • Manage, maintain QA environments along with build and deployments • Design and develop test automation solutions using Cucumber / Selenium, and other technologies determined to best suit our needs Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience • 5+ years of experience in complete software testing activities. • Hands on experience working with testing frameworks, Selenium web driver, Cucumber • Hands on experience with Object oriented language like Java or Python • Experience in SQL a must. Knowledge of PL/SQL, Linux/UNIX, Jenkins preferred • Experience on API Testing Frameworks like Rest-assured, Karate • Experience on Manual SOAP And REST testing tools like SOAP UI and Postman • Experience in supporting test strategy activities, particularly in integration of multiple applications and systems • Experience in evaluating testing technologies , conducting test strategy design and test script code reviews • Demonstrated skill to proactively resolves issues and escalate appropriately • Experience with Index/Benchmarks or Asset Management or Portfolio Investment modeling. • Experience with Market Data such as Equity, Forex or Options asset classes preferred. • Experience in deployments on Weblogic and Oracle preferred. • Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies • Excellent understanding of release testing, sign-off and deployment methods Return to Work Have you taken time out for caring responsibilities and are now looking to return to work?
