<b>Logistics Specialist</b><br> <br> Positions available in<b> Jandakot or Brisbane</b><br> <br> Contract: Permanent<br><br><ul> <li> Permanent employment</li> <li> Gold Tier Private Health Cover</li> <li> Comprehensive Life, TPD & Income Protection Insurances</li> <li> Wellness Benefits</li> <li> Employment Assistance Program</li> <li> Discounted Stock Purchase Program</li> <li> Attractive compensation package</li> </ul> <br><br>Schlumberger is currently looking for a <b>Junior to Mid-Level</b> <b>Logistics and Imports / Exports Specialist.</b><br><br><b>Responsibilities:</b><br> <ul> <li> Manage <b>domestic </b>movement of assets, products, and materials upon the request of the Business Line and fully compliance with regulations, standards and policies</li> <li> Mainly in-charge of admin tasks and documentation of imports and exports</li> <li> Must have basic understanding in planning and coordinating of shipments</li> <li> Optimize equipment utilization, select the most cost-effective routings and MoTs and plan / book these shipments with approved carriers and 3PLs</li> <li> Comply with the selection of preferred contracted carriers or internal fleet, and secure delivery as per the established service level</li> <li> Business Lines focal point for their logistics movements</li> <li> Validate transport requests and required delivery dates for a defined geographic region or lane(s) to achieve on-time delivery</li> <li> Prepare equipment load plans per planning standard operating procedures to maximize rental and call-out equipment utilization</li> <li> Leverage planning and use rate checker tools to achieve competitive costs by applying preferred contracted rates</li> <li> Plan effective shipment/truck routings, leverage consolidation/cargo optimization, and maximize backload opportunities to drive down costs where possible</li> <li> Manage weekly fixed schedules and regional milk runs</li> <li> Issue work orders before each move with associated cost approvals</li> <li> Identify logistics network improvement projects or opportunities</li> <li> Monitor cargo movements status and performances and investigate deviations</li> <li> Assess carrier performance with respect to on-time pickup and on-time delivery</li> <li> Monitor and capture logistics milestone data in the business system</li> </ul> <br><br><b>Working hours: </b><br> <br> Monday to Friday with weekend on call roster<br><br><b>Requirements:</b><br> <ul> <li> Must have full right to live and work in Australia </li> <li> Reside in Perth or Brisbane (<b>no relocation support</b>)</li> <li> Minimum 2 years in the logistics or import/export functions with specific understanding of supply chain, planning, scheduling, and logistics concepts is highly recommended</li> <li> Highly self-motivated</li> <li> A passion to work in Logistic role and understand basic Supply Chain models</li> <li> Competent computer skills</li> <li> Can work in a high-pressure environment, learn quickly and adapts to new problems and situations</li> <li> Must be a team player, able to get along with individuals from other groups in the organization, and a good communicator</li> <li> Good English written and verbal communication skills essential</li> <li> Good interpersonal skills</li> <li> Available to start as soon as possible</li> </ul> <br><br><b>Application:</b><br> <br> Please apply via this advertisement and upload detailed resume and a cover letter outlining your qualifications and work experience.<br> <br> Only successful applicants that meet the above criteria will be contacted<b>.</b><br> <br> Schlumberger is an equal employment opportunity employer.
