<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"> </p><strong>Head of People Services </strong></p> </p>Are you a visionary leader specialising in People Services?</p><p><strong>Why is this role so special?</strong></p><p>This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to lead the People Services team to shape and deliver its People agenda. This will include its plans for: equality, diversity &amp; inclusion; wellbeing; learning &amp; development; health &amp; safety; and safeguarding. As a member of the Leadership Team reporting to the Chief Executive, you will also provide senior leadership across the organisation and play an important role in the implementation of its strategy - <em>For people and green spaces: a thriving network for everyone.</em></p><p> </p><p><strong>Salary of £48,000 - £53,000 per annum FTE</strong></p><p><strong>Based in England, flexible hybrid working, with a minimum of 1 day per week in the Doncaster head office </strong></p><p><strong>Permanent role, open to flexible proposals such as compressed hours, reduced hours, job share</strong></p><p><strong>Full time 35 hours per week</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>About the organisation:</strong></p><p> </p><p>Charity People are delighted to be partnering with a national charity that brings people together to create, improve and care for green spaces. From local parks and community gardens to Local Nature Reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest; from school grounds and hospital grounds to waterways, wetlands and woodlands; they connect people to the green spaces that form a vital part of any healthy, happy community.</p><p>Their team of dedicated, passionate staff and volunteers work with communities across England, Northern Ireland and Scotland and, through their Community Network, they support local community groups across the UK.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities for the role include:</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Leading on Equality, Diversity &amp; Inclusion to make the charity a place that is reflective of UK society and where levels of engagement are high</li><li>Aligning People priorities to the organisation strategy and business plan</li><li>Overseeing the delivery of the organisation's organisational development and learning &amp; development proposition and supporting initiatives</li><li>Coaching, supporting, mentoring and challenging managers in the application of employment law related policies and practices, providing advice and guidance on complex people related matters in order to minimise risk and financial exposure</li><li>Leading on the wellbeing strategy and success measures, working closely with colleagues and leaders to ensure alignment and fit</li><li>Leading the implementation of the reward and recognition strategy</li><li>Ensuring employee relations issues are dealt with appropriately, liaising with employment lawyers if required to minimise risks to an acceptable level</li><li>Providing reports, data and analysis to the Chief Executive and Board</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>About the person:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent communication, relationship and influencing skills with the ability to quickly establish and maintain credibility with senior leaders and staff</li><li>Up-to-date knowledge of employment law including, terms and conditions, restructure, TUPE, discipline and grievance management</li><li>A proven track record of leading or business partnering in a commercial or not for profit environment</li><li>Experience of working in a geographically disperse organisation</li><li>High levels of numerical and verbal reasoning</li><li>A level 7 CIPD qualification</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>How to apply:</strong></p><p>If you are excited by this unique role as we are, please send a copy of your profile or CV to Tatiana Ambrose at Charity People for more information on how to apply.</p><p><strong>Deadline: 9am Wednesday 21st September</strong></p><p><em>Charity People actively promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.
