Senior Technical Safety Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a <b>Senior Technical Safety Engineer</b> to join our team in Perth, Western Australia as part of its Operations APAC (West) business. <br><br>Wood delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Oil & Gas Industry. In addition, you will have access to remote and flexible working options, purchased annual leave and employee discount programs. <br><br>At Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>Suitably qualified with a Bachelor of Engineering degree from a recognised institution, ideally you will have relevant experience in safety engineering for petroleum production / processing facilities within Australia and preferably on brownfields projects. <br><br><b> You must be an Australian citizen OR hold Permanent Residency (PR) OR be able to work lawfully in Australia to be considered for this opportunity. </b> <br><br>In addition, you will have: <br><ul><li> At least 6 years experience in formal safety assessment studies, risk-based decision-making and the design/specification of safety critical equipment and systems </li><li> Knowledge of safety regulations and applicable industry codes / standards </li><li> Excellent standard of written and oral communication </li><li> Strong analytical and numerical skills </li><li> Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment </li><li> Demonstrated experience in supporting and checking the work of junior engineers. </li><li> A
