<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a <b>Technical Safety Engineer</b> to join our team in Perth, Western Australia as part of its Operations APAC (West) business. <br><br>Wood delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Oil & Gas Industry. Wood enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent Oil & Gas and LNG producers with operations in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. <br><br>Reporting directly to the Lead Technical Safety Engineer and working across FEED / Execution, your focus will be on performing formal safety assessment studies, support for risk-based decision-making, application of safety in design principles to the design/modification of petroleum production/processing facilities and compliance with safety regulations. <br><br>Join us in the heart of Perth's CBD at Dexus Place - 240 St Georges Terrace, free 24/7 access to an exclusive onsite gym, superb end of trip facilities, coffee machines serving on demand and plenty of spaces to get creative. In addition, you will have access to remote and flexible working options, purchased annual leave and employee discount programs. <br><br>At Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>Suitably qualified with a Bachelor of Engineering degree from a recognised institution, ideally you will have relevant experience in safety engineering for petroleum production / processing facilities within Australia and preferably on brownfields projects. <br><br><b> You must be an Australian citizen OR hold Permanent Residency (PR) OR be able to work lawfully in Australia to be considered for this opportunity. </b> <br><br>In addition, you will have: <br><ul><li> At least 2 years experience in formal safety assessment studies, risk-based decision-making and the design/specification of safety critical equipment and systems </li><li> Knowledge of safety regulations and applicable industry codes / standards </li><li> Excellent standard of written and oral communication </li><li> Strong analytical and numerical skills </li><li> Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment </li><li> A
