We use machine learning and natural language processing to build data-driven solutions which solve important problems across our organisation.</p><p></p><p>We’re currently looking for senior Software Engineers who can lead and coach others to join us across our Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, and London offices.</p><p></p><p><b><b>What we do</b></b></p><p></p><p>Software Engineers in our team work on a range of products, for example:</p><p></p><ul><li><p>A risk and regulation application that helps subject matter experts (e.g. Risk, Auditing) to efficiently profile and analyse large amounts of data on an engagement</p></li><li><p>An NLP platform that accelerates and expands our ability to search large document sets for business insights</p></li><li><p>A real-time health and wellbeing platform to help employees understand and manage their body and mind</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>The Role</b></b></p><p></p><p> You will have full responsibility for building exceptional products and services both to internal and external clients, working with Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers in an agile way. </p><p></p><p><b>Senior Software Engineers are responsible for building out the team&
39;s products and assets.</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Designing, implementing, and reviewing high quality software solutions</p></li><li><p>Recommending development options commensurate with the business needs, i.e. to ensure scalability, assess the trade off between costs and performance</p></li><li><p>Based on the recommendation, the technical ability to lead the development of migrating/transforming services where appropriate</p></li><li><p>Implementing and managing a DevSecOps methodology, critical for an AI-backed asset development in a dynamic market environment</p></li><li><p>Implementing NLP microservices within cloud applications</p></li><li><p>Navigate Network and IT security within a professional services environment</p></li><li><p>Leading and coaching a team of engineers through the development of new features or projects </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Core Skills</b></b></p><p></p><p>We make extensive use of the following technologies in our team.</p><p></p><ul><li><p>Azure / GCP for our cloud backend</p></li><li><p>Kubernetes, private or public (AWS EKS, Google GKE)</p></li><li><p>Docker for packaging up our code for deployment</p></li><li><p>Go and Python for backend development</p></li><li><p>HTML, CSS, and Typescript for building our user facing front ends</p></li><li><p>SQL for application data storage</p></li><li><p>Git for version control</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of Networking (i.e. TCP/IP stack)</p></li></ul><p><br /> </p><p><b><b>Nice-to-haves</b></b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Exposure to other programming languages (such as Java)</p></li><li><p>Experience with UI frameworks (such as React)</p></li><li><p>Experience working with NoSQL databases (such as Cassandra)</p></li><li><p>Experience working with Elasticsearch</p></li><li><p>Experience working with data pipelining technology (using technologies such as Beam or Kafka)</p></li><li><p>Experience with monitoring application performance (using technologies such as Grafana) </p></li></ul><p></p><p><br /> </p><img src="https://www.applytracking.com/tp/rj6.p3DrH-J_K" rel="no-follow" />
