Two opportunities have arisen to join our Policy, Evidence and Influencing team, working to deliver change for people affected by breast cancer. Both roles are broadly the same with the same job description, but each role has a slightly different focus.

Role one will focus on improving treatment, care and services for those affected by secondary (metastatic) breast cancer.

Role two will look at some specific areas of treatment for breast cancer, including breast surgery, and medical research.

In both roles you will develop evidence-based policy positions and recommendations, working with colleagues to develop and deliver influencing strategies. You will build strong relationships with, and influence, key external stakeholders. You will also act as a source of expertise across the organisation and externally on key policy areas and the wider policy environment.

About you

With experience of working in relevant policy roles to deliver significant change, you will have experience of developing credible, evidence-based policy positions and be able to think strategically. You will have excellent communication skills and experience of building relationships with, and influencing, key stakeholders.

About us

We’re Breast Cancer Now, the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future.

We’re that trusted friend that people affected by breast cancer turn to for caring support when they need it most. The expert authority on breast cancer research who is making breakthroughs and driving forward progress. And a vehicle for change, acting now to make sure anyone affected by breast cancer gets the best possible treatment and care.

We believe that we can change the future of breast cancer and make sure that, by 2050, everyone diagnosed with the disease lives – and is supported to live well. But we need to act now.

Both roles are primarily based in our London office. However, in line with our hybrid working practice, full-time staff members may choose to work up to three days per week from home. Should you have any queries with regards to this please email [email protected] in the first instance.

Breast Cancer Now is an inclusive employer committed to developing a diverse workforce.
