Surprising results.</p><p> </p><p><strong>MARKETING MANAGER - VOLUNTEERING </strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> £37,000 - £40,000 per annum</p><p><strong>Contract type: </strong>18 month fixed term contract</p><p><strong>Hours: </strong> Full time, 35 hours/week. That's why we're looking for someone talented, someone who shares our vision, someone like you.</p><p> </p><p>This role is an exciting opportunity to shape the marketing strategy and delivery of cross-channel marketing activity to recruit and retain volunteers across Cancer Research UK's products. </p><p> </p><p>Volunteers are a crucial part of what we do. Enabling our chain of 600 shops and hundreds of events every year to run smoothly, as well as giving the public an opportunity to support our life-saving work in a practical, hands on way. </p><p> </p><p>We need an experienced and creative marketer to join the team, bringing together stakeholders from across the organisation to recruit, inspire, motivate, and retain volunteers.</p><p> </p><p><strong>What will I be doing?</strong></p><ul><li><p>Working with the Insight team and senior managers to drive development of the marketing strategy for volunteering, develop test plans using an iterative test and lean approach, and feed learnings into the planning process</p></li><li><p>Translating the marketing plan into cross-channel integrated briefs, in collaboration with internal teams, and manage the planning, set-up, delivery and analysis of integrated multi-channel campaigns that meet and exceed KPIs</p></li><li><p>Collaborating with teams across marketing, and the wider organisation, to identify and implement strategic marketing opportunities and ensure holistic supporter journeys for existing and potential volunteers</p></li><li><p>Developing clear journeys and loyalty strategies to retain existing volunteers, as well as acquisition strategies to recruit new volunteers to target and within budget, ensuring strong CPA and ROI across channels.</p></li><li><p>Working with digital and data experts from across marketing and the wider organisation to improve communications and better engage our audiences, supporting the introduction of new digital approaches to achieve engagement targets</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>What skills are we looking for?</strong></p><ul><li><p>Relevant experience of delivering multi-channel campaigns, from planning through to execution and analysis</p></li><li><p>An appreciation for the role of volunteering within the sector, and exciting ideas for how to motivate and engage existing and potential volunteers</p></li><li><p>Experience of developing end-to-end supporter or customer journeys, or loyalty programmes, and the role of different channels in fully integrated campaigns</p></li><li><p>Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly communicate to and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels</p></li><li><p>Data-driven, with a good understanding of UX principles and experience of interpreting results and using insight to recommend opportunities for optimisation</p></li><li><p>Experience of developing highly effective campaign assets for use across channels</p></li><li><p>Commercially aware with experience of budget management</p></li><li><p>Experience of developing, motivating and nurturing team members, preferably in a matrix environment</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>What will I gain?</strong></p><p> </p><p>Each and every one of our employees contributes to our progress and is supporting our work to beat cancer.
