<p>We’re looking for a Programme Manager to play a leading part in creating the pioneering new Stour Valley Park, where everyone can enjoy the benefits of the natural world, making amazing places for people and wildlife. </p>
<p>Over the last three years, stakeholders have been engaged in developing a vision and strategy for the Stour Valley Park. You’ll build on this, working with those stakeholders and partners to identify opportunities to take forward the Stour Valley Park proposal and make the vision a reality. This will serve one of the largest urban areas in southern England, spanning 25km of the lower River Stour from the National Trust Kingston Lacy estate north of Wimborne to Hengistbury Head and Christchurch harbour on the South Coast.</p>
<p>Your passion for creating simplicity from complexity, planning and prioritising projects, will drive the next phase of this ten-year vision. </p>

<p>The Stour Valley Park is a bold, landscape-scale, partnership ambition. The concept has been established over 12 years. A three-year project engagement phase, supported by the Future Parks Accelerator Project (FPA) and the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, has mapped the landscape, built relationships with key stakeholders and land managers. The resulting shared long-term vision for the Stour Valley Park is “an abundant river system and vibrant landscape; where people and nature thrive in harmony with one another, where we can learn about our past, enjoy the present and work towards a better future for all.”</p>
<p>The next stage will turn that vision into a deliverable programme plan, including pilot projects. Governance will cement the partnership, and delivery will be underpinned by an advocacy strategy and funding plan.</p>
<p><strong>What you'll be doing <img src="https://ntprodap1.nationaltrust.org.uk:4443/OA_HTML/cabo/images/skyros/t.gif" rel="no-follow" /> </strong>           </p>
<p>You’ll be working directly with senior leaders in the National Trust, BCP Council and Dorset Council to manage, plan and coordinate a partnership programme. You’ll develop the programme plan and support the programme Steering Group, setting up effective governance to mitigate risks and drive action and delivery.</p>
<p>Employed by the National Trust, you’ll deliver a programme jointly agreed and overseen by the National Trust, BCP Council and Dorset Council. You’ll facilitate a programme Steering Group and ensure effective engagement with a wider Stour Valley Park partnership group and stakeholder network. You’ll develop and deliver: </p>

<li>Effective partnership and programme governance</li>
<li>An advocacy and stakeholder plan</li>
<li>A programme delivery plan </li>
<li>Feasibility and development of project pipeline and funding bids</li>
</ul>
<p>You’ll work with partners to develop projects that are catalysts for delivery of the Stour Valley Park. Working with key staff and experts across BCP Council, Dorset Council, National Trust and the wider partnership (including landowners and land managers), you’ll help identify and shape the next big opportunities and investment proposals for the Stour Valley Park. Based at the National Trust, you’ll be part of a professional network of programme and project managers, national green corridor leads and South West urban greenspace programme and project managers.</p>
<p><strong>Who we're looking for <img src="https://ntprodap1.nationaltrust.org.uk:4443/OA_HTML/cabo/images/skyros/t.gif" rel="no-follow" />     </strong>       </p>
<ul>
<li>You’ll have experience of successfully delivering end to end programme management, including defining resources, leading procurement, securing project teams and matrix management, across multiple programmes.</li>
<li>You will hold a recognised programme management qualification (MSP) and show evidence of ongoing CPD in your career to date.</li>
<li>You will possess excellent communication, problem solving and influencing skills, and be confident liaising with Senior Leaders, demonstrating experience of managing complex and contentious external stakeholder relationships.</li>
<li>You’ll have experience in governance and delivery of partnership programmes, working towards complex, innovative and ambitious aims, including developing funding and investment bids.</li>
<li>You’ll be experienced in a conservation, local government or environment setting, and demonstrate an understanding of working with local government</li>
