Senior Process Engineer -Microelectronics Wastewater

Come be part of something special - start your journey today! <br><br>Process Engineers on the Process Engineering team are key partners for our customers in the North American market. They are creative technical leaders responsible for supporting the successful sale, execution, commissioning, and operation of complete system solutions for our customers' water treatment needs. To win new opportunities, they apply deep technical knowledge of our solutions and technologies combined with an understanding of the customer's process, the market, regulations, and our competitors to continually balance capital and operating costs, and technical risk with commercial viability. <br><br>Microelectronics Ultrapure Water Process Engineers are responsible for the process design of UPW treatment solutions for customers in the microelectronics industry, including water characterization, defining the design basis, unit process selection and design, equipment sizing, and process guarantees. They use a variety of treatment technologies, including solids separation, low- and high-pressure membrane treatment (ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis), ion exchange, UV treatment, and gas-transfer membrane processes to meet stringent effluent or reuse requirements specific to the microelectronics industry's needs. They evaluate system operation under both design and upset conditions, identify potential points of failure, and participate in detailed hazard reviews (HAZOPs). Given the complex nature of the treatment flowsheets, the ability to act as system integrator and clearly identify the impacts that any given unit process will have on upstream/downstream unit processes is key. They also engage in piloting and treatability studies as part of design, commissioning, and troubleshooting.<br><br>Process Engineers build long term relationships with our customers and key experts in the industry and share technical expertise in industry forums to position SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions (WTS) as experts within the market. They serve as experts within the business, participating in innovation of solutions, technologies, and markets, and training and mentoring others in process design. <br><br><b>Open to work in any of these locations across North America; Oakville ON, Minnetonka MN, Richmond VA, Bellevue WA.</b><br><br><b>Who are we looking for?</b><br><br>In addition to a desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and work independently to meet deadlines with minimal oversight, we are looking for someone with:<br><br><b>Core Qualifications:</b><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in an accredited Engineering field - Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical preferred, or other technical discipline with emphasis in process design and/or controls of UPW treatment</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of relevant or related design and/or field experience, preferably 10 years or more</li><li>Experience with UPW treatment processes and system design/operation for the microelectronics industry</li><li>Ability to consider multiple unit operations and integrate them into a complete process</li><li>Ability to train and coach others on the team and in the business</li></ul><br><b>Useful skills, abilities, or experiences:</b><br><ul><li>Familiarity with projection software/tools for process design such as WinFlows, WAVE, and/or GasCAD (Liqui-Cel GTM), along with strong Excel proficiency</li><li>Professional Engineer's License, or the ability to obtain one </li><li>Clear, concise communication and presentation skills</li><li>Willingness to periodically travel within North America</li></ul><br>Water Technologies & Solutions is seeking thoughtful, dedicated professionals to join our 10,000-person organization as we deliver leading water treatment solutions for clients across municipal and industrial markets, in locations on six continents.
