You will partner with internal technology groups to ensure that proposed technical solutions align with the company's overall objectives. You'll also serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, internal innovation teams, and IT functional areas by helping them identify and take advantage of new digital opportunities while providing guidance and ensuring solutions align with the business and IT strategy. We need someone who can: Design systems and programs to meet complex business needs. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery. Code, test, debug, implement, and document moderately to complex programs. Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation. Gather information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Assist project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks. Assist support and/or project personnel in resolving moderately complex program problems. Work with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility. Provide technical advice on complex programming. Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews. Provide On-call production support Basic Qualifications for Consideration: A degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required Experience in Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) Minimum of Six years’ of experience in COBOL, DB2, CICS and JCL development Strong analytical and debugging skills Knowledge in one of the following areas: Claims, Financial, Member, Managed Care or Provider sub systems Good personal computer and business solutions software skills Analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs Ability to work as part of a team and independently Interpersonal skills to interact with team members Communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, clients and interfacing agencies. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. For Colorado considerations only the estimated salary range is $80,080 - $104,000.
