ES EMEA PDC Schrems Plant has an opening for an Analyst SCM Material Planning (m/f/d), located in Schrems, Austria. Primary function of this position: The principle role of the Analyst SCM Materials on plant level is the purchasing and material planning of direct and indirect materials for Schrems production (total annual material purchasing volume is about 80 Mio. Euro). The role must be strongly aligned and linked with all key functions along the whole Supply Chain like e.g. Production Planning and Logistics. Key responsibility is also a strong support of Category Management in developing new suppliers and supporting the supervisor Material Planning and Purchasing in representing the plant internally and externally (e.g. in supplier meetings). This person acts as interface to other material planning and procurement departments of PDD plants in order to build a pro-active working relationship within PDD Organization and gain benefits for PDD. The development and improvement to increase efficiency of operational material planning and procurement processes and to support cost outs is an important task of this role. Job Responsibilities: Purchasing and planning of raw materials for defined product groups on plant level based on requested demands.. Ensure necessary order changes/adjustments of delivery dates and quantities to achieve best material availability for local production. Create strategic inputs to Supplier Logistic Models. Optimize and control inventory targets (e.g. analyze consignment possibilities) to achieve defined goals. Improve forecast processes in material planning. Monitor and control inventory and demand figures applied to plant Schrems with alignment to Eaton standard processes to implement corrective actions to achieve /or exceed target levels. Support LEAN principles within the plant and support all related projects and changes across the whole PDD Supply Chain and Division. Build pro-active relationship to Category Management and PDD Supply Chain Organization due strong support at all related issues Plans and conducts negotiations across several complex categories of spend in close cooperation with Category Management to collaboratively maximize profits with both internal customer and external suppliers. Supervises inventory control activities and evaluates excess and obsolete material elimination. Participates on Project Management trainings and improves Project Management skills. Initiates and collaborates in plant or PDD driven projects. Manages internal inventory levels to ensure product availability for customers. Is involved with the SIOP process. Responsible for monthly inventory planning based on part usage analysis, and generating stock replenishment as required. Also keeping balance of potential demand versus stock budget limits. Responsible for the in-time order of raw materials, tracking of the ETA, checking completion of deliveries and for correct invoicing. Substitute for the other Materials Analysts during vacation, sickness etc. Understands planning policies (e.g. reorder point, forecast) in SAP. Has experience in SAP IBP. Has experience in Materials Planning Replenishment (forecasting, demand planning, scheduling) in SAP. Qualifications Education and experience: Completed technical or commercial eduction (HTL, HAK, etc.) Economic regulation, training and industrial co-operation Expertise and minimum 5+ years experience in Supply Chain Management (Purchasing and Material Planning) Technical knowledge: Advanced ERP skills (SAP) MS Excel knowledge MS Access knowledge technical understanding of products which belong to relevant product lines to identify linkages and flows to all related stakeholders Soft skills: strong analytical, cognitive and strategic thinking skills ability to analyze operational problems in short time strong motivation and mentoring skills good communication and interpersonal skills Fluent in German and English Our management style at Eaton is characterized by ethical, passionate, responsible, efficient and transparent action, we are constantly learning.
