Smart Plant Instrumentation Administrator

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood Applied Intelligence (AI) is currently recruiting for a Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) Administrator to support one of our UK projects.<br />
<br />
Whilst this role can be based anywhere in the UK, mobility and travel to customer sites and face to face meetings with colleagues will be expected as required.<br />

<b>Responsibilities / Duties: </b></p>

<ul>
<li>Supports engineers and designers during FEED and detailed design stages of a project</li>
<li>Manages and audits projects&
39; SPI database</li>
<li>Oversees project initiation and set up in SPI</li>
<li>Provides efficient data imports and exports</li>
<li>Maintain projects SPI database seed file and contents</li>
<li>Acts as SPI Subject Matter Expert</li>
<li>Provides expertise for SPI integration with software design tools (e.g., AutoCAD)</li>
<li>Ensures adherence to Client&
39;s standards and Wood&
39;s project practices and procedures</li>
<li>Develops training plan for engineers, designers, and technicians as needed</li>
<li>Provides local support associated with updates to SPI software</li>
<li>Manages / coordinates Instrument Indices/user defined fields</li>
<li>Manage escalation and resolution of database issues, engaging with external teams as required</li>
<li>Provides support for developing custom reports and instrument data sheets as required</li>
<li>Provides local support in the setup of SmartPlant logons and access rights</li>
<li>Review and approve database change requests</li>
<li>Review output reports for consistency</li>
<li>Assigns loop numbers</li>
<li>Ensures data structure consistency across project disciplines</li>
<li>Ensures data integrity of the SPI database</li>
<li>Monitor project information and compliance by users contributing data</li>
<li>Provides SPI support of all control systems design for projects</li>
<li>Coordination of concurrent SPI activities</li>
<li>Maintains SPI Standards documentation</li>
<li>Support of multiple SmartPlant interfaces with appropriate focal points</li>
<li>Development of new documentation (Project Guide for SmartPlant Instrumentation)</li>

<b>Skills / Qualifications </b></p>

<ul>
<li>Good level of SmartPlant Instrumentation / Intools experience</li>
<li>Experience with DCS / ESD / PLC wiring and layout, instrument loop diagrams</li>
<li>Experience using Intergraph SmartPlant Instrumentation (previously known as Intools) modules: Instrument Index, Instrument Spec Sheets, Wiring, Process Datasheets, and Loop Diagrams</li>
<li>In-depth Proven Experience in SmartPlant Administration including database upgrades, setting-up and supporting SmartPlant Instrumentation projects, and splitting off projects for parallel engineering</li>
<li>Experience in database setup and dataset management</li>
<li>Experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation customization and configuring seed files</li>
<li>Experience using Infomaker to customize specification sheets and developing custom reports</li>
<li>Technical writing skills</li>
<li>Positive and proactive attitude towards development and problem solving</li>
<li>Good communication skills</li>
</ul>
