For more information about Bristol Myers Squibb, visit us at BMS.com/ie The Role BMS Cruiserath Biologics is seeking to recruit a permanent Senior Specialist, QC Separations Analyst to join the Biologics Laboratory in Dublin which will support drug product and drug substance release testing. The successful candidate will be involved in assisting in the establishment of laboratory operations, performing testing of samples and performing laboratory duties in accordance with cGMP regulations. A strong fundamental understanding of cell culture and cell based biological assays is desirable. Technical expertise should include the following Biopharmaceutical analytical platforms: Bioassay, Cell Culture, ELISA and Surface Plasmon Resonance. HPLC, iCIEF, SDS-PAGE, KF and Compendial techniques (e.g. pH, appearance) Key Duties and Responsibilities: Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, directives and current regulatory requirements for finished product release testing and good documentation practices within the laboratories. Assisting in authoring and reviewing documentation, including SOPs, as required. Batch paperwork review and approval, and reconciliation of analysis performed in the laboratory. Performing routine data analysis, assist in the investigation of OOS results, perform trending analysis and writing investigation reports. Coordinate and oversee training of junior analysts. Lead and participate in projects for the continuous improvement of the Lean Labs program. Liaising with sister sites to ensure consistent data reporting and trending practices. Co-ordinating local site and global activities to support routine testing and method transfer/validation testing requirements. Participate in troubleshooting complex analytical and instrumentation issues. The ownership of change controls in the area. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required: The ideal candidate should hold a minimum of a B.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Chemistry or related discipline and must have at least 4 years’ experience, at least 3 of which should be hands on experience in a Biologics GMP laboratory setting. The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to work independently in assay and recognize anomalous trends or results. The successful candidate must demonstrate problem solving ability, as well as the ability to prioritize objectives from multiple projects and adhere to scheduled timelines. Excellent attention to detail is essential. Excellent communication and the ability to work in a team based collaborative environment are required.
