Utilizing a strategic account management approach, partner with units of care and internal stakeholders to achieve assigned sales targets for the BMS IO portfolio and deliver account imperatives on the Victoria East/Tasmania territory. Responsibilities In partnership with the Thoracic and GI team member and broader cross- functional team, support the implementation of multi-channel business plans for Health Care Professionals (specifically medical oncologists), in key accounts. Utilizing existing marketing/medical programs and channels that promote the safe and effective use of BMS products in the MEL-GU portfolio, to achieve or exceed sales targets on the allocated territory across these promoted indications. Leadership role in key accounts, developing and maintaining strategic business relationships based on current and anticipated customer needs, clearly positioning the BMS portfolio as the backbone therapy for appropriate patient types and adopting a “trusted advisor” role opposite Accounts. Deploy tactics as part of the BMS portfolio strategy that build a positive experience for HCPs and patients Regularly analyze qualitative and quantitative stakeholder, account and market data to help identify trends and opportunities that directly shape current and future business plans and activities for each account. Build and maintain excellent stakeholder networks and relationships internally and externally to drive the business forward. Place customers at the centre in addressing needs and finding business solutions. Foster team effectiveness and accomplishment of shared goals by sharing knowledge, experience and insights. Ensure business objectives and practices are fully compliant with relevant laws, regulations and BMS standards of business conduct and ethics. (Disclaimer: The responsibilities listed above are only a summary and other responsibilities will be requirements as assigned) Qualifications, experience and competencies Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related health discipline Proven ability to sell in a competitive and rapidly evolving market Demonstrated understanding of rigorous principles of scientific data and proven ability to effectively communicate scientific data to healthcare professionals Proven ability to build peer-peer relationships with top-ranking medics and other healthcare professionals Sound business acumen and solid track record in successfully managing profitable relationships with key accounts in a specialty environment. Demonstrated ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments. Demonstrated experience in the specialty environment within the Pharmaceutical Industry, preferably including launch experience and oncology therapeutic knowledge Highly customer focused Demonstrative positive and proactive approach to working with internal and external stakeholders Entrepreneurial with a drive for high performance & results Demonstrates excellent business acumen including knowledge of current & future policies and trends effecting individual stakeholders, units of care and state/national market dynamics Deep insight into the hospital environment: customers, networks, access, and relevant departments. Knowledgeable and sensitive to how hospitals operate and get things done through their formal and informal networks. Works effectively and even thrives in ambiguous situations. Can make decisions with incomplete information and can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty Ability to build rapport at multiple levels of the organization Excellent communication, informing, selling, influencing and negotiation skills Independent use of Microsoft Office (Incl.
