Engineering Design Tools Developer

Our team provides support for customer operations to ensure continuity for production.<br><br><b>Partner with the best</b><br><br>In this role you will define the changes required and document the changes in the theory/design methodology documentation. This requires an understanding of the underlying mechanical engineering and flexible pipe technology being implemented. You will also work to make improvements to out software design tools suit, so an interest in programming is a must.<br><br><b>The Engineering Design Tools Developer will be responsible for:</b><br><ul><li>Working with end users to define and document requirements for changes to correct errors or implement new features. <br></li><li>Designing and documenting modifications to the software-this requires an understanding of the software design process <br></li><li>Implementing modifications to the software as well as writing high quality software in C++/Visual Basic/.Net <br></li><li>Developing tests to verify that modifications satisfy requirements and that all previous features still work properly- requiring an understanding of software quality processes. <br></li><li>Running the verification tests and documenting the results. and preparing the modified versions of the software for release <br></li><li>Providing clear and concise models, theory manuals and operation manuals for both internal requirements and external IVA approval <br></li></ul><br><br><b>Fuel your passion</b><br><br>To be successful in this role you will:<br><ul><li>Have a considerable understanding of Mechanical Design/Engineering and a real interest in moving into a more software driven role <br></li><li>Possess some exposure to programming (in C, C++, Java, etc.) <br></li><li>Have Exposure to Microsoft Technologies, Internet Technologies, SOA, Java, JBOSS, or XML <br></li><li>Have strong oral and written communication skills <br></li></ul><br><br><b>Work in a way that works for you</b><br><br>We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
