Lead Data Scientist Segment: S&P Global Sustainable1 The Role: Lead Data Scientist Grade: 11 Location: UK The Team: We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled data scientist for Sustainable1. The Data Science team would work closely with business stakeholders in Sustainable1 to develop cutting-edge data science and machine learning solutions that enhance our products and services and streamline our operations using machine learning, data engineering, and Visual Analytics. Responsibilities: As a Senior Data scientist, you will primarily be responsible for both leading a technical team of data scientists and contributing technically to a project, designing, and building Data Science solutions using advanced machine learning techniques. In addition, you will need to work closely with internal stakeholders and users, identify what leads to business impact, and implement the strategic roadmap of the leadership. You will be viewed as an expert and specialist in information extraction, search, and personalization technologies with the current technical responsibilities: Design and develop innovative solutions to improve document and information extraction on S&P Global customer-facing and internal products. Research, build, deploy and maintain AI-related Extraction Engines for intelligent extraction solutions. Contribute to research, prototype, and engineering of S&P Global intelligent extraction and discovery engine Use NLP/NLU and machine learning techniques to improve and extend our system capabilities Communicate effectively What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications: MS in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operation Research, or related fields with 7+ years of relevant industry experience Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operation Research or related fields with 4+ years of relevant experience Experience in mentoring or managing junior scientists and engineers, working with business stakeholders and users, providing research direction and solution design Experience in communicating data science solutions to business stakeholders or non-data scientists.
