<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is recruiting for an experienced <b>Logistics & Materials Control Lead</b> with relevant expertise in Oil & Gas projects or Heavy industrial sectors of the construction industry, to join our Operations APAC (West) business. This is a permanent role based in our Perth office. <br><br>Wood's Operations APAC (West) business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Kazakhstan. <br><br>Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for leading the materials and logistics team across a deployed project providing all aspects of materials management including; expediting, logistics, shipping, materials control, inventory, warehousing and reporting. The activities you will be l eading, managing and supporting are the full range of materials and logistics activity including but not limited to: <br><ul><li> Materials status reporting, </li><li> project/client/supplier progress meetings, </li><li> l iaison with all key stakeholders, </li><li> the allocation, control, issue and marshalling of materials, production of shipping documentation, warehouse management and materials handling, management of plant and equipment, fabrication management, PSR management, inventory management </li></ul><br> To be successful you will have prior working experience in an EPCM project environment with both onshore and offshore scope of work engagements within the LNG (Oil & Gas) sector. Your core responsibilities will include but not limited to: <br><ul><li> being the escalation point for all materials and logistics personnel, client representatives, and suppliers where appropriate to resolve materials supply and logistics issues. </li><li> building and managing relationships with all Wood and client vendors focusing on value adding opportunities for the project and location </li><li> being accountable for all Freight Forwarding and Import / Export and Customs control activities, and compliance thereof. </li><li> assisting with the management of project surplus and scrap materials. </li><li> being accountable for the application of correct maintenance and preservation of inventory/materials for stored equipment and the assurance thereof. </li><li> supporting change in implementing Materials Control and Logistics improvement initiatives </li><li> reviewing and assisting with development of processes and procedures, and communication to relevant personnel </li><li> monitoring and ensuring that supply chain scheduling periods (by delivery teams) are achievable and realistic and aligned to supply chain systems </li><li> leading materials management close out reports including final project materials status reports and contributes to lessons learnt. </li><li> ensuring that the materials and logistics team carry out all activity in accordance with the Wood Supply Chain Code of Conduct, ensures that all statutory and legal requirements and applicable processes and procedures are complied with and all documents are filed accurately and fully auditable. </li></ul><br> Join us in the heart of Perth's CBD at Dexus Place - 240 St Georges Terrace, free 24/7 access to an exclusive onsite gym, superb end of trip facilities, coffee machines serving on demand and plenty of spaces to get creative. In addition, you will have access to remote and flexible working options, purchased annual leave and employee discount programs. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> You must be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and be able to work lawfully in Australia to be considered for this opportunity. </b><br><br>You will be s uitably qualified in a business diploma or degree and / or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution AND/OR industry equivalent experience in a similar position within the Australian O&G Sector and have: <br><br><ul><li> a minimum of 10 years' experience in multidisciplinary supply chain experience across procurement, expediting, logistics and materials control. </li><li> excellent working knowledge of supply chain and procurement concepts and principles in an EPCM environment </li><li> detailed knowledge and experience of vendor management (i.e. tender statistics,commercial evaluations, negotiation, terms and conditions of purchase and post award management) </li><li> ERP Systems experience (i.e. SAP, VPRM, Power BI, Intermediate Excel) </li><li> demonstrated experience in safety into all supply chain activities </li><li> excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills (including written and oral presentation) </li><li> strong networking and interpersonal skills to maintain and develop internal and external supply chain and contracts relationships </li><li> demonstrated leadership in planning and organisation of team assignments </li><li> a
