<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and dynamic programmer with international experience to join a small, creative, and influential queer NGO, as we deliver our activities championing the equality and human rights of LGBT+ persons and other disadvantaged groups using an intersectional lens across the Commonwealth. The Programme Manager’s work will focus on the effective monitoring and delivery of two concurrent programmes that Kaleidoscope Trust is implementing between now and the 31st of March 2023:</p>
<p><strong>1. Global Equality Project (GEP) II: towards an equal world for women, girls, and LGBT+ persons (approx. 65%)</strong></p>
<p>A ten-month intervention built on the success achieved by previous programmes implemented in collaboration with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WfD) in selected countries of Africa, Asia and the Eastern Caribbean. The project’s overall goal is to ensure that decision-makers and civic actors make progress towards advancing gender equality and LGBT+ inclusion in their constituencies. The project aims to achieve this by:</p>
<ul>
<li>create greater evidence and understanding among decision-makers and other stakeholders on the social and economic costs of discriminatory regulations and practices,</li>
<li>strengthen collaborative relationships between CSOs and political decision-makers, as well as the flow of reliable information and evidence between them through dialogues, facilitated discussions, consultations, and roundtables, and</li>
<li>deepen civil society’s policy development and policy advocacy capacities with a view to creating a more conducive environment for positive change in laws, policies and their implementation, as well as shifts in social norms through a series of targeted capacity building initiatives in focus countries.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2) GAC: Support to The Commonwealth Equality Network (approx.35%)</strong></p>
<p>This multiyear international programme aims at contributing towards the progressive realisation of LGBT+ rights within national laws and policies by influencing key stakeholders in Commonwealth spaces and undertaking national-level advocacy efforts in a selection of countries. The programme aims to do this by:</p>
<ul>
<li>Enhancing the visibility and reference to LGBT+ rights and issues in Commonwealth spaces and policy documents,</li>
<li>Increasing the mainstreaming of LGBT+ rights and issues within stakeholder spaces and movements (e.g. women's movement, climate change movement, youth, traditional and faith leaders, etc.) in Commonwealth countries, and</li>
<li>Enhancing adoption and/or amendments of laws and policies which protect and promote the rights of LGBTQ2I people in Commonwealth countries.</li>
</ul>
<p>The Programme Manager will join the team at a critical time to ensure impactful and effective delivery of these two ground-breaking programmes. The post-holder will work in close collaboration with a variety of stakeholders during their implementation, including Kaleidoscope Trust’s executive leadership and those leading on other programme streams, research/policy, monitoring and evaluation, communications, and finance/compliance at the organisation; implementing partners, TCEN’s membership and its leadership committee; other civil society partners and actors; donor representatives; and others.</p>
<p>The Programme Manager will report to Kaleidoscope Trust’s Head of Programmes and manage a Programme Officer.</p>
