<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>Are you a warm, respectful and empathetic individual? If so, we are looking for Support Workers to join our Mental Health Short Term Assessment and Recovery Service. </p>
<p><br />
This position involves providing short term assessment and recovery support for adults and mental health needs living in a specialised move on service within Middlesbrough. You will be responsible for providing motivational and recovery support interventions, enabling people to move onto suitable and sustainable housing options for longer term recovery.  </p>
<p><br />
Support Worker Duties:<br />
•    Develop and sustain warm and trusting relationships with service users<br />
•    Promote the self-esteem, happiness and emotional health of service users, encouraging and supporting service users to express their needs, views and concerns<br />
•    Provide respectful personal care in accordance with the needs, wishes and preferred routines outlined in the individual’s personal support plans.<br />
•    Supporting people in a wide range of activities within their home and community. </p>
<p><br />
Ideal candidates will have previous experience of working with people that are experiencing mental health problems, either in a community, residential or inpatient setting. Ideally, you will have experience of working in a recovery-focused way. You will be motivated with good communication skills and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes using a person-centred recovery approach. </p>
