<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p><b>Network Engineer</b></p><p><b>Salary:</b> &pound;38,064 - &pound;45,873 per annum<br /><b>Contract:</b> Full Time, Permanent<br /><b>Location:</b> Ripley, DE5 3RS</p><p>Join our client as a Network Engineer, where network performance, availability and security are critical to their 24/7 operation.</p><p>Our client are committed to delivering an excellent public service and improving their organisation to benefit the public. Their Information Services department&rsquo;s aim is to ensure the force achieves digital excellence by continually delivering and optimising solutions.</p><p>As their Network Engineer, you will provide technical fault resolution, new provision and changes to the network and network security infrastructure by following agreed processes, procedures and standards.</p><p>This is a role that is key to the future development of our client&rsquo;s network infrastructure, both on-premise and within the cloud. You&rsquo;ll work closely with the current Network Engineers and will monitor, maintain, and deal with security threats.</p><p>In addition, you will have the opportunity to be involved with projects that deliver new and innovative infrastructure and applications to Derbyshire, regional forces, and to support the implementation of national projects.</p><p>To be successful in this role you will hold a Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification and have experience of managing an enterprise network, including experience of:</p><p><ul><li>Fault diagnosis and resolution</li><li>TCP/IP, enterprise firewalls, enterprise data switches and routers, and enterprise level wireless networks</li><li>Network security (firewalls / SIEM products / IDS / IPS / VPNs)</li></ul></p><p>Please note that following relevant training, you will be required to perform on call duties on a 24/7 rota basis, outside of normal office hours as operational requirements dictate. A standby allowance and call out payment will be payable.
