<p>Hatfield Forest is a special landscape and we’re looking for an inspiring leader who’s passionate about conservation and the natural environment to manage it.</p>
<p>The Forest has a rich history dating back over a thousand years, and you’ll be leading the direction to improve access; balancing visitor care with the sensitive cherishment of this precious National Nature Reserve.</p>
<p>Salary £35,022 - £37,245 depending on experience  </p>
<p>Fixed term contract 12 months, but duration is negotiable.</p>

<p>You’ll be joining a property team who are passionate about the Forest and its rich history.   More than 500,000 visitors come to enjoy Hatfield every year. Managing an outdoors property isn’t always a traditional 9–5, but like our visitors, you’ll be able to appreciate and benefit from this stunning setting.  We’ll lead for an environment that’s a great place to visit, work and volunteer and your competent and capable team will benefit from the vision you strive for.</p>

<p><strong>What you'll be doing     </strong>   </p>
<p>You’ll be able to bring your own flair to lead a team of Rangers, Visitor Welcome, and Property Care staff, ably supported by a large volunteer team, supporting them to deliver at their very best.</p>
<p>Our aim is to enable people from all backgrounds to enjoy and help us care for a healthy natural environment.  You’ll utilise your skills to promote high standards of presentation and visitor care, improving access while maintaining Hatfield’s unique and cherished backdrop.</p>
<p>You’ll feed into projects and oversee a comprehensive annual programme of conservation delivery.  You’ll provide advocacy for the property externally, developing relationships with key partners such as Natural England and local authorities, and build partnerships with mutual benefit to achieve our strategic aims.</p>
<p>You’ll be part of a Portfolio Leadership Team setting direction for the broader collection of properties and countryside across Essex and Suffolk.</p>
