<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>Prospectus is pleased to be working with our client, an independent organisation that regulates barristers and specialised legal service businesses in England and Wales in the public interest. They are responsible for setting education and training requirements, setting standards, authorising organisations, monitoring the service provided, and handling complaints. At an exciting time, they are looking to recruit a Senior Case Officer as they embark on their new strategy.</p>
<p>Our client's Investigations and Enforcement team is responsible for investigating allegations against barristers and taking disciplinary or other action on behalf of our client. As their Senior Case Officer, you will hold your own caseload including complex cases and will be responsible for investigating barrister conduct; drafting charges and reports; gathering evidence and deciding on the content of bundles as well as corresponding with barristers, witnesses and anyone else involved in the regulatory process. Finally, you will also be required to attending hearings and support counsel at tribunals and appeals before the High Court.</p>
<p>To be successful, you will be a qualified barrister, solicitor or equivalent and have previous experience of legal procedures or litigation and substantial experience of casework. You will possess the ability to work effectively as part of a team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleague. Finally, knowledge of regulatory procedures and/or experience working for a regulator is desirable but not essential.</p>
