<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><br />Salary - £39,915 - £43,066 per annum <br />Hours - Full-time <br />Location - City Road EC1 with hybrid working pattern <br />Benefits - Excellent package including 27 days annual leave + bank holidays<br /> <br />Charity People are delighted to have partnered with an amazing £8million turnover charity to help recruit a Grants and Funds Accountant. <br /> <br />About the role<br />You will join a friendly, forward thinking and high performing Finance Team where you will be reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations and working very closely with the Management Accountant and the Director of Grants and Research. This is a newly created role and is key to the charity's strategic and business planning, <br /> <br />Your primary duties and responsibilities will be;<br />* Develop and prepare monthly forecasts and cashflow statements<br />* Support the development of budgeting and forecasting<br />* Receive, process and reconcile all new grants awards and payments<br />* Working closely with the Grants and Research team, reconcile grant award<br />* Monitor and reconcile fund balance and other duties and responsibilities as given in the full job description<br /> <br /> <br />About you<br />You will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with the internal budget holders and influence them. You should be able to explain finance to non-finance budget holders such as Professors and work closely with the Grants Team. As a Grants and Fund Accountant, you should be able to understand the finances and be able to tell a story. We are open to sector background.<br /> <br />Candidates applying for this role should be working towards a recognised CCAB finance qualification. You also should have very strong knowledge and experience in Excel and be able to analyse large volumes of data. If you have experience using PS Financials, it will be an added advantage. Experience of fund accounting and dealing with restricted, designated and endowment funds is key for this role. <br /> <br />This is a hybrid role where you will be working in the office based in Old Street twice a week.<br /> <br />To apply<br /> <br />Please send your CV to Angela at Charity People.
