Commercial Plant Manager (f/m/d)

The spectrum spans the entire life cycle of drive systems: from design and engineering to modernization. Now, LDA is on its way to more independence as a GmbH from 1st October onwards and so, we are seeking to hire a commercial plant manager who will be responsible for all commercial aspects of our Manufacturing operations in Nürnberg Converter/Drive Plant. This role will partner with the technical plant manager and report directly to the LDA Drives CFO. The commercial plant manager is a key member of the Operations leadership team with a large scope in topics and tasks, which are covered in an independent way of working. You act as the trusted partner of the technical plant manager and as well as the shareholders’ advocate. The financial management of the plant lies in your hands. By delivering highest degrees of transparency, you make clear what counts to improve the overall plant performance. Your excellent leadership capabilities support you to form a high-performance culture with your team. What part will you play? You have full P&L responsibility for the Converter/Drive factory in Nürnberg and you steer the financial planning and controlling of all relevant business and support processes like cost centers, projects, productivity tracking, headcount and others As a key player you act in the definition of the plant strategy and in the achievement of strategic and business objectives incl. lean and change management You make asset management a priority by carefully deciding about the right level of inventory Furthermore, you continuously and proactively improve the competitiveness of the production by carefully deciding about investments and by using “make or buy” methodologies Your strong offer- and project-controlling supports technic, sales and purchasing to deliver profitable products on time You are eager to benchmarking the value-stream and processes internally and external You do not stop acting at the borders of the plant, but also improve process and collaboration at your interfaces Furthermore, you will be accountable for the integrity your bookings for what you have an effective Risk Management and an Internal Control System What you need to make real what matters. You have a commercial or technical university degree as well as longterm professional experience in leadership within a manufacturing and/or controlling environment You score with midterm leadership experience and make people development, succession planning and diversity a priority You have competencies in hand over management to steer the interfaces to sales and other data sources You take ownership and have the ability to work independent and you take initiative You act as an entrepreneur, think creatively and stay globally up to date Your strengths are a management collaboration attitude and execution as well as a flair for mastering complexity and building trust with others in an intercultural context Fluent German and English skills complete your profile Make your mark in our exciting world at Siemens.
