Test Engineer

Schneider Electric’s Buildings business has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated person to assume the role of Test Engineer. You will be responsible for testing design, planning, automating, and executing tests of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies to deliver a product of the highest quality. You will work closely with the software designers, software architects, hardware designer and verification & validation specialists to ensure that all test requirements are understood, and that testing is executed per plan. What will you do? Experience testing multiple technologies including hydronic valves (PICV, globe, ball, zone, butterfly), valve and damper electromechanical actuators, digital control systems and sensors. Ability to propose/develop testing solutions to deliver new product or applications. Analyze test requests and associated products or materials to be tested to find out appropriate test methodologies and generate test plans with respect to requested testing and appropriate test standards. Prepare estimates for expected testing duration, labor required, and test related expenses. Leverage strong application knowledge to optimize test routines, minimize test costs and provide timely feedback to engineering teams and managers. Participate in test plan writing, guide execution, and delivery of test reports to stakeholders. Assist with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and ensure compliance to standards. Train and support Lab Test Technicians by providing guidance and pee review of test program execution. What qualifications will make you successful? Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, multidisciplinary, or electrical engineering. 5-10 years of experience developing test plans and fixtures involving relevant technologies. Experience operating lab equipment such as Environmental chamber (Temperature & Humidity), 3D Scanner, 3D Printer, Dynamometer etc. Must be adaptable, detail oriented, multitasking, team player and able to work with minimal supervision. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong PC skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications. Must have the ability to work safely with and around electrical and hydraulic devices. Must have active visa status to travel to United States. Good level of English (written and verbal) to optimize the communication with the different stakeholders at national and international level. Functionnal knowledge of French. What's in it for you?
