We are currently looking for a Scientific Advisor to work in the team on our Respiratory portfolio for 12 months. Reporting into the Associate Medical Director, General Medicines, the role will provide medical and technical expertise in the development and implementation of product strategy and in the production, review, and approval of promotional and non-promotional materials. The role will also lead medical projects and activities. Your responsibilities will be broad and will include: Contributing insights to the development of marketing and medical strategy Participating in brand team activities such as annual brand planning, regulatory activities, and guideline submissions Delivering medical plans, projects, and activities Producing, reviewing, and approving promotional and non-promotional materials Ensuring compliance with the Medicines Australia Code and GSK internal codes Providing medical and scientific expertise into Code challenges or responses to Medicines Australia Developing and delivering disease and product training and presentations to Sales Representatives and other stakeholders Interacting with health care professionals where the opportunity arises, to participate in scientific dialogue; e.g. conferences, advisory boards, medical education To be successful in this role you will have: Experience in a Scientific Advisor or similar role (Medical Affairs Associate, Clinical or Product Specialist) A working knowledge of the Medicines Australia Code Ability to work independently under pressure Competence in critical appraisal and interpretation of data A degree in Science, Pharmacy or Medicine Pharmaceutical industry experience High degree of accuracy; attention to detail Clear and influential communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both medical and commercial stakeholders A PhD in Respiratory will be highly regarded This role represents a great chance to showcase your scientific expertise in a fast paced and varied environment and a high performing, engaged and collaborative team who are genuinely motivated by the impact that our products make to patient’s lives.
