Summary: Contributes to the development and implementation of EHS initiatives. Monitors compliance with Environmental health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Lead Environmental Health & Safety Programs assigned (Storm Water Pollution Prevention, Waste management, Air, Process Safety, HAZMAT) Prepare and maintain regulatory and permit required Environmental Health documentation Manage the site required Environmental & safety training modules and process to assure compliance. Ensures compliance with local government environmental health and safety regulations and company policies Manage and/or support EHS requirements on site construction projects. Manage site EHS inspections program Collect and maintain required data for the compliance of EHS related reports Assist with training for new hires and provide ongoing training of all employees Evaluate the effectiveness of the EHS assigned program using established goals and make recommendations, and implement corrective action(s) Comply with all federally regulated programs. Adhere to J&J environmental and safety policies and guidelines. Comply with all job specific safety procedures and utilize PPE when necessary. Comply with quality system requirements as defined within procedures and instructions Utilize applicable software systems as needed for the job (e.g., ComplianceWire, CURVE, etc.) Support JJPS Initiatives. Perform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. Degree in Engineering or Science is preferred. Experience and Skills: Required: At least 4 years of related experience Extensive knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and local applicable EHS governmental regulations Proficient in MS Office products Interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred: Experience in the pharmaceutical, consumer o medical devices industry Experience with ISO 14001 systems Proficiency in ComplianceWire, and/or CURVE, etc. Other: Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English is required Position requires travel less than 10% of time At Johnson & Johnson, we’re on a mission to change the trajectory of health for humanity.
