Senior Project Controls Specialist

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is one of the top ranked international design and construction firms by ENR magazine and seeking a <b>Senior Project Controls Specialist</b> to support a growing program at the project site in <b>Eastern Ontario</b>. <br><br>This position will be in support of large construction projects across multiple business sectors in support of a high energy team of project professionals. The successful candidate for this position will provide project planning, scheduling, and cost management support, support an established project risk management process, and actively engage with field operations throughout the project lifecycle. <br><br>Primary duties will be preparing and maintaining WBS and Control Accounts, preparing and maintaining project schedules, tracking and managing project cost, performing earned value analysis, developing project reports for internal and external clients, working with the project manager, construction manager, and project team members in preparing updates to the project estimate to complete, supporting the project risk management process, and other project controls related activities as required. <br><br><b>Please note we will consider candidates based in various locations throughout Ontario, but these roles will need to be primarily at the project site in Eastern Ontario.</b> <br><br><b> Key Responsibilities: </b> <br><ul><li> Developing and maintaining WBS and project coding structures using Primavera P6 software </li><li> Developing and maintaining cost loaded and/or resource loaded schedules for both design and construction related projects </li><li> Utilize project management systems to update and manage project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts </li><li> Conduct project performance analysis using earned value methodology and project controls industry best practice techniques </li><li> Support weekly and monthly project requirements for invoice submittals, status updates, progress measurement, and internal/external monthly status reports </li><li> Maintain project budget and forecast spending plans </li><li> Analyzing project expenditures, commitments, and invoicing data </li><li> Provide proposal and change order support as required </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Seeking a highly self-motivated candidate who can operate successfully in a dynamic environment within a high energy team of project professionals </li><li> BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related discipline </li><li> 8+ years Project Controls (cost and schedule) experience </li><li> High proficiency in use of Primavera P6 </li><li> High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the MS Office 365 environment </li><li> Proficiency with Ares Prism is desirable </li><li> Strong interpersonal skills, creative solution and problem-solving skills </li><li> Willing to travel on an as needed basis </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
