Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? The first thing that you will achieve is completing a well-organized onboarding plan that will be prepared for you. Within 60 days, of employment, you will be engaged with some key customers and partner in the EMEA region and meet the customer success, sales, and sales engineering teams. you will have developed impactful relationships with key stakeholders, the professional services and other business unit, to build a roadmap of service delivery. you will begin be able to lead delivery workshops and technical discussions with customers, relying less and less on support of other consultants and more and more on your developing skills and experience. Within 90 days, of employment, you will have established a relationship with VMware teams, customers and partner. You’ll work to understand their environment, challenges and their deployment and future strategy. You will be able to articulate achievements in the projects and where there are opportunities for customers to gain even further from VMware’s capabilities . Build and maintain current knowledge of the entire VMware product line & you will serve as a Cyber Security advocate for your customer(s) and Vmware. Also Deliver and facilitate workshops designed to drive customer outcomes. Within 180 days, you will have established yourself as a trusted advisor and delivery expert in the EMEA region for the cyber security practice, help to successfully deliver VMware Security services. Within 360 days, you will be focused over the horizon, defining new approaches, strategies and operations to accelerate VMware leadership and success in the Cyber security service delivery and help make VMware Security lead service offering. Meanwhile You will continue delivering current security portfolio & maintaining deep technical knowledge & skills. What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be utilising on a regular basis? As an architect, you hold responsibility for delivering Cyber Security solutions and services. The solution and services will focus on delivering tangible business outcomes to our customers rather than just technology outcomes. Work on strategic plan with different VMware teams to build out customer intrinsic Cyber security story and deliver roadmaps while participating in designing, building and establishing the EMEA Professional Services Security Practice. Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in cybersecurity and information technology. Lead pre-sales support as needed to understand customer objectives, educate customers regarding Vmware Cyber Security products/solutions, and assist in the development of effective VMware proposals. You must be well versed with cyber security management including security controls architecture, cloud security, incident response preparedness and response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security event analytics and correlation You have ability to architect security solutions including: cyber response automation, threat intelligence, user analytics, DLP, endpoint security tools, security infrastructure technologies, and application/software protections. Solid proficiency with concepts related to Zero Trust, intrinsic security, and ransomware You will engage with C-level, VP and Director level executives, both internal to VMware, and externally with VMware clients, providing perspective and guidance on long-term Cyber security strategy and providing security market intelligence and participate in the development of future solution strategies You will be required to lead and assess risks imposed by technical solutions and advise clients of security standards, best practices and solutions relating to their applications, endpoints, infrastructure/cloud, and/or Network. You will act as a trusted advisor to assist in driving increased value realization for our customers from their security service by designing solutions that utilize modern practices to adapt customer operating models in support of their security intrinsic practice Promote awareness of Security Portfolio Services and delivery best practices. you are used to working in a fast-paced environment where you are customer and partner facing. You can articulate the value proposition of the product portfolio and our platform, clearly and concisely. You have the technical acumen and can relate to customers’ most complex challenges and have technical expertise to go deep to solve them. Assist team growth by contributing to delivery excellence training, cross team collaboration and knowledge sharing of good practices. What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? You will report to the Director of Security Practice. He has more than 15 year’s experience in the market and has built and led different cyber security organization across different industries. The team is mix of architects and Senior consultants who support, build and shape VMware Security Portfolio in EMEA region.
