Offshore Construction Manager

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br><b>Offshore Construction Manager - Hull (Site Based) </b> <br><br> Wood Process & Energy are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with demonstrable Offshore & Onshore expertise to support a Rough Gas Storage Facility project for a duration of 12 months, based in Humberside. <br><br>To be considered you must be able to demonstrate understanding of Temporary works and in particular the applicability and key roles of BS 5975 to works in the UK, c onsiderable experience in the preparation of construction estimates for Concept, FEED and EPCm, plus the planning and execution and closeout of complex scopes. <br><br>The opportunity will ensure discipline expertise to the business and our client, e stablishing and maintaining effective working relationships while communicating across the business interfaces. <br><br><b> You will have: </b><br><ul><li> Demonstrable experience of construction input to design, examples of construction input to concept, FEED and EPCm. </li><li> Understanding of the key roles in CDM 2015. </li><li> Demonstrable experience of brown field FEED and EPCm project in the UK both onshore and offshore. </li></ul><br><br><b>Main Responsibilities: </b> <br><ul><li> Executing assigned scopes of work in a timely manner and within Key Performance Indicator (KPI) schedules. </li><li> Reviewing planned activities for constructability and provide accurate feedback. </li><li> Executing assigned scopes of work as a role model for reports. </li><li> Provide technical expertise and guidance on all construction related activities. </li><li> Managing and leading all construction reports to ensure delivery against milestones and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). </li><li> Management of key stakeholders in the execution and delivery of contracted activities. </li><li> Set and apply strategic and tactical direction with regard to policy / procedures, work force staffing, and budgeting. </li><li> Mentoring, supervising and supporting development for reports, ensure learning opportunities are captured and realised. </li><li> Management of Field Construction works. </li><li> Effective delegation to ensure the continuity of work scope execution. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Qualifications & Experience: </b><br><ul><li> Time served relevant discipline in NVQ/SVQ/HNC/HND. </li><li> Extensive years relevant Offshore & Onshore Construction Management experience. </li><li> Experience of people management in Construction with s ufficient experience within a Lead role. </li><li> Oil & Gas, Petrochemical experience. </li><li> Exposure to working within a Technical environment. </li></ul><br><br><b> Role-Specific Skills: </b><br><ul><li> Excellent interpersonal organisational, communication and team building skills. </li><li> Ability to advise system and subsystem priorities within construction activities with a view to achieving early handover. </li><li> Fully conversant with regards to discipline technical knowledge. </li><li> Ability to be assertive and drive culture change when required, monitor work progress and report against the plan. </li><li> Proven experience of interpreting discipline documentation. </li><li> Detailed knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), HAZCON and Constructability. </li><li> Actively promote wood Health and Safety Executive (HSE) policy procedures and initiatives in line with core values. </li><li> Ensure good communication at all times with contract and project teams. </li><li> Engage with and promote the construction community including: networking/knowledge sharing. </li><li> Manage interfaces across functional and business boundaries. </li><li> Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external customers and third party vendors. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
