Lead Operations Technician

Description:<br> Purpose of Role:<br> <br> • Act as a member of the Asset Operations Team in ensuring safe reliable production in compliance with Client policy, process and procedures. Provide support, and where required, supervision, as directed by asset management as a member of the operations and maintenance team.<br> <br> MAE/MATTE and<br> HSE Critical Responsibilities:<br> • Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Client HSEQ procedures<br> • Ensure asset is operated in compliance with the Asset Safety case.<br> • Contribute towards the control of all activities in compliance with the Client systems of work.<br> • Contribute towards continual improvements in standards, safety performance & promote a strong Safety Culture.<br> • Contribute towards the platform annual safety, production, environmental & operational goals.<br> • Has a responsibility to set the standard(s) & ensure that work is completed in the correct manner whilst supporting and mentoring less experienced members of the operations team<br> <br> Areas of Responsibility Competence Level:<br> • Actively supervise safety and environmental critical activity using appropriate tools (Safety Observations, Field Verification etc).<br> • Actively coach & develop the Operations team primarily to ensure operating integrity but also to provide a stream of individuals with future potential.<br> • Maximise production, minimise losses safely.<br> • Lead RCA's into losses and drive corrective actions to complete<br> • Facilitate maintenance & repair of the facilities in an efficient manner.<br> • Control all Operational activities in accordance with Client processes & procedures.<br> • Acting as primary PTW Issuer, contribute towards safe systems of work - EG PTW, Isolations, Control of inhibits, Flange management (i.e. maintain records & system in accordance with the procedure).<br> • Act as PTW Responsible person.<br> • Act as offshore operations focal point for minor Ops Mods and vendor activities<br> • Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager.<br> <br> • Lead by example and set the standard for the operations shift team<br> • Capable of delivering on commitments and working unsupervised.<br> • Good existing network of contacts across onshore & offshore.<br> • Able to mediate / facilitate across a broad spectrum of groups to deliver a timely fit for purpose solution.<br> • Have an appreciation of all other disciplines/roles.<br> • Completed competencies required as an Operations Technician<br> • Be trained and deemed competent as an Assessor within the training and competency process.<br> • CRO Competency or AA competency/Experience.<br> • Ability to stand-in as Operations Co-Ordinator/ Shift Supervisor<br> • Experience within the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industries.<br> • Awareness of Client HSEQ Policies and Business Management System (BMS)<br> • Awareness of Client Values & Business Principles<br> Reporting Links: • Direct report to Operations Team Leader/Shift Supervisor<br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
