We are currently recruiting a Health Economist Lead to join our Reimbursement and Pricing Team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and project managing the preparation of timely and strategically sound PBAC submissions of GSK products. As a valuable part of our team you will work closely with commercial and regulatory teams to deliver quality pricing and reimbursement outcomes for the Australian business. Your responsibilities will be broad and will include: Develop strategically sound submissions in line with an agreed project work plan and strategic framework. Assess and proactively manage reimbursement issues arising from reimbursement submissions Manage and progress preparation of applications to meet GSK business objectives and timelines with competitive outcomes Provide input to NPI teams, Commercial and Brand teams – specifically: develop understanding of data and data-gaps, advise on strategies to bridge gaps, ensure planned applications will meet commercial need, as required. Develop and communicate the most effective and commercially advantageous reimbursement strategy for GSK to the Brand manager, for products for which responsibility is specified, with the aim of attaining the most competitive (maintaining ethical standards) label and earliest commercial launch. Ensure that progress of applications and changes to reimbursement details are communicated to local and global stakeholders, as appropriate, with minimum delay. Maintain an awareness and knowledge of relevant reimbursement, industry, legislative, political and competitor activities to derive appropriate reimbursement strategies for product portfolio To be successful in this role you will have: Previous experience in a health economics/market access role with knowledge of PBAC listing/submission processes and health economics methodology. (preferred) Strong Excel modelling capabilities including experience with budget impact and cost effectiveness modelling. Demonstrated medical writing, data modelling, project management and analytical skills. A degree and ideally a post graduate qualification in health sciences, public health and/or economics. Knowledge of the Australian reimbursement and pricing system and experience with statistical/modelling software. Strong time management and organisational skills. High level of attention to detail.
