Lead Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Massy Wood is seeking experienced and knowledgeable<b> Lead Instrumentation & Controls Engineer</b> for a potential project to be based in Trinidad. <br><br>The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years' experience in a lead instrumentation & controls enginering role and will be expected to support technical and operational consultation for a range of assets. <br><br>Key Responsibilities: <br><ul><li> Capture and communicate lessons learnt to the Discipline Function Lead. </li><li> Coach / guide discipline personnel on a majority of discipline applications. </li><li> Knowledge of and adherence to Massy Wood Group and project specific Engineering Management Systems and Procedures relevant to the role. </li><li> Demonstrates the appropriate competence level for the job. </li><li> Is a source for guidance on a majority of discipline applications. </li><li> Coordinate technical matters within discipline and with other disciplines as required. </li><li> Technical assurance of discipline deliverables, discipline content of IDC prints and vendor documents. </li><li> Supervise discipline personnel ensuring Massy Wood Group and project specific Management Systems and Procedures are followed. </li><li> Assist Discipline Function Lead with suggestions for improvements in discipline procedures and working practices. </li><li> Assist Discipline Function Lead with development of discipline personnel. </li><li> Supporting Business Development activities as required. </li><li> Knowledge of, adherence to and enforcement of Massy Wood Group and project specific Project Management Systems and Procedures relevant to the discipline. </li><li> Develop discipline scopes of work, estimates and schedules. </li><li> Manage the overall contract/project discipline scope of work, budget, schedule and resource requirement with respect to delivery, monitoring and changes. </li><li> Knowledge and application of client specific standards. </li><li> Discipline focal point for the contract/project. </li><li> Assist Discipline Function Lead with management of discipline personnel working on the contract/project. </li><li> Responsible for resource planning to maintain adequate staff levels considering short and long term requirements of the contract/project. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> First Degree in Engineering (BSc, BEng). </li><li> Membership of a professional body preferred. </li><li> Professional, chartered or registered engineering status preferred. </li><li> Typically a minimum of 12 years' minimum relevant experience. </li><li> Possesses skilled application of discipline software and tools. </li><li> Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
