êton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Product Marketing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Milton, ON location. Position Overview: The primary function of this role is to collaborate with Eaton Central Engineering and Development (CED) team, and to provide technical guidance to sales/support staff in pre-sales through post sales capacity. The Product Marketing Engineer will support and implement market segment strategies to grow sales, profits and market share for the Connected and Digital Solutions within the low voltage distribution product line, including Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI). This role will identify new product requirements and/or design changes to engineering and follow through on delivering to the marketplace. The individual has key responsibility for the product/solution roadmap including pricing maintenance and for generating collateral for product launches, promotions and campaigns. In this function you will: Prepare detailed technical specifications based on marketing and sales input that capture customer requirements Develop, conduct, and coordinate training for customer, agent, distributors, contractors, and customers Drive innovation and product development through close coordination with electrical assemblies product line managers, product managers, product engineering and product specialists Manage the interactions between the sales force and the marketing department to focus product development to strategic customer/industry needs Support plant industrialization through introduction of prototypes to the production stage Participate and provide input into annual Strategic/Profit and Market Planning period Support Product Manager and MARCOM group in creating marketing material, catalogues, and electronic media for product launches and campaigns Contribute in digital content creation to support campaigns & increase market reach Lead continuous improvement activities to improve the deployment of marketing tools and deploy standardized processes Assist with marketing duties and projects to fulfill product line objectives Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: University Degree or College Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field from an accredited post-secondary institution Prior work experience in a technical or scientific role, or product marketing. Detail oriented in the organization of documentation related to design concepts, validation, and product release requirements Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future No relocation provided Preferred qualifications: Masters Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field Experience working with electrical products and assemblies Experience using data analytics or digital marketing Experience with Eaton systems such as Oracle, PDH, Percolate, and Bidmanager Technical Professional Designation (P.Eng., CET, C.Tech) Training and experience with communication networks, SCADA, PLC and programming architecture Position Criteria: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong presentation skills and public speaking experience Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Demonstrated problem-solving ability and an innovative mind set Ability to work both independently and in team environment We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
