The role will be based in our Birmingham or London office, with the expectation of some travel to London if based in Birmingham.  This role will give you the opportunity to work across a range of targets and clients to help you develop further and progress within this key market for PwC. The market for GCS services has never been so strong so this is an excellent time to join PwC. You’ll work as part of a UK and global team with extensive compliance and consulting experience, helping our clients solve their complex global compliance and business issues from strategy to execution.</b></p><p></p><p><b><i>Responsibilities</i></b></p><p></p><p><b><i>Business development and pursuit support</i></b></p><p></p><ul><li><p><b>Working with senior members of the GCS team and Lead Tax Partners, you will be expected to bring experienced and senior support on a range of market opportunities primarily in response to client RFPs.  The role includes overseeing pricing, developing client specific propositions and delivery models and regular client interactions including formal presentations. </b></p></li><li><p><b>The role also includes supporting clients as they develop their requirements for GCS services including RFP and scope drafting, and helping them with their internal business case for outsourcing.</b></p></li><li><p><b>Responsibility for pursuing a selection of mid-tier targets/pipeline</b></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><i>Engagement Management</i></b></p><ul><li><p><b>Proactively manage a portfolio of clients reporting to senior members of the team and Lead Tax Partners</b></p></li><li><p><b>Manage and deliver large global projects and teams, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the teams to drive efficiency and add value</b></p></li><li><p><b>Develop and build strong relationship with stakeholders throughout client organisations including regular and effective governance and communications</b></p></li><li><p><b>Overseeing the governance of contracts including monitoring of KPIs and SLAs thereby ensuring quality of outputs and client service.</b></p></li><li><p><b>Manage any changes to scope and fees including leading client and PwC negotiations. </b></p></li><li><p><b>Identify opportunities for PwC including additional compliance and/or advisory services.</b></p></li><li><p><b>Detailed scoping and process assessments.</b></p></li><li><p><b>Review and suggest improvements to compliance and reporting processes considering data collection/manipulation, delivery approach and controls.</b></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><i>Essential skills and experience</i></b></p><p></p><ul><li><p><b>Degree level qualification or equivalent</b></p></li><li><p><b>ACA / CTA preferred</b></p></li><li><p><b>Background and experience in corporate tax, indirect tax or accountancy </b></p></li><li><p><b>Excellent written and verbal skills </b></p></li><li><p><b>Strong technology skills and a willingness to embrace and apply developing technology</b></p></li><li><p><b>Proven project management skills, and an ability to plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, monitor budgets. </b></p></li><li><p><b>Strong client management skills including working with international clients across multiple territories</b></p></li><li><p><b>Ability to coach more junior team members and add value to the team</b></p></li><li><p><b>Strong presentation skills and experience in developing and delivering major proposals to clients and targets</b></p></li><li><p><b>Clear commercial acumen</b></p></li><li><p><b>Process and technology design experience would be preferable</b></p></li></ul><br /><p><strong>Not the role for you?</strong><br />Did you know PwC offer <a href="http://pwctrk.co.uk/tp/rj6_YRe1p-J.K" rel="no-follow">flexible contract</a> arrangements as well as <a href="http://pwctrk.co.uk/tp/rj6_uo6An.J.K" rel="no-follow">contingent work</a> (ie temporary or day rate contracting)?<br /><br /><strong>The skills we look for in future employees</strong><br />All our people need to demonstrate the skills and behaviours that support us in delivering our business strategy.
