Lead Data Engineer - AI Solutions

We are hiring a Lead Data Engineer for the AI Solutions team to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of Advanced Data Processing applications within Schneider Electric product and service offers. In particular, these applications are intended to provide the data needed to Artificial Intelligence solutions including: energy optimization; condition monitoring and diagnosis of electrical distribution devices and industrial machines; as well as design and operation support through digital twins mixing Artificial Intelligence with Simulation techniques. Responsibilities : a continuous interaction with internal or external customers to gain a good understanding of their needs, propose relevant solutions, and support them as needed; the collection, evaluation and selection of advanced data processing use cases, with a focus on business value and business and technical risks; the specification, design, implementation, test, validation, and industrialization of advanced data processing functions to be incorporated in internal or external products, systems and solutions; the definition and management of relevant innovation / technology actions (e.g., prototype developments, experimentations) in order to develop and deploy innovations and expertise through research, platforming, standardization, development of intellectual property, partnerships, reference documents, etc.; the recommendation and management of technical choices (including the selection and management of tool providers and partners) influencing anticipation and offer creation within the Artificial Intelligence Hub and beyond; knowledge sharing, teaching and coaching within the Artificial Intelligence Hub and beyond; the promotion of Schneider Electric’s strategy in the Analytics / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science domain through papers, blogs, conference presentations, and contributions to internal and external cross-function communities (sharing with marketing, sales, etc.). Qualifications A Master or PhD or equivalent diploma in Analytics / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science or related subjects. With about 8 years of experience in advanced data processing, including a mix of experience with different types of data: time series (meter values over time), texts, sounds, images, videos. Signiifcant software engineering experience: capacity to perform coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process and in agile mode. Capacity to mentor beginners on the above technical skills.
