Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? Possess a blend of technical, business and people skills to play a key role as a subject matter expert in the VMware Commission world. Partnering with different operational stakeholders for the P2P process. Proactively recommending and driving improvements to existing processes and practices. The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Participate in and/or lead requirements gathering sessions for new system requirements or enhancements to existing systems for Finance applications, specifically focused on SAP Commissions, JIRA (IT ticketing and tracking systems), BI Reporting and other finance projects Coordinate and manage stakeholder groups through system design decision making process. Develop high quality documentation throughout the duration of projects, including capturing business requirements, system configuration, processes/workflow, data extracts and interface requirements, etc. Develop and support end to end testing strategies, partner with IT on all SDLC processes, create and execute test scripts (during UAT), monitoring test execution and partner with the business to get User Acceptance sign off. Design and document any training material or user guides for systems implementation projects and processes. Participate in data extraction/conversion exercises with the business stakeholders for projects involving a change in the current application/vendor. Recommend internal processes and audit procedures to ensure Finance SOX controls compliance and data integrity of systems post go-live. Provide backup support on current Finance systems and cross train with team members in the Financial System Support (FSS) team. Be able to troubleshoot issues with the business and partner with other cross-functional teams. Partner with IT to apply fixes, patches to the system; also create any enhancement requests, have them prioritized by the business and with IT and see these through the IT process into completion. Train and mentor Business Analysts and develop back-up coverage plan. What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? The Finance Solution Systems team is the key connecting point between Commission Finance, Sales Operations, Global Incentives, BI Reporting and IT. We are professionals with advanced analytical skills, solid understanding of the sales compensation cycle, very detail-oriented individuals, and experienced communicators. Our immediate goal is to support the Commission Finance Team so they can administer the deployment of compensation plans to the Sales Field and ensure a constant accuracy in the compensation calculation when we pay the Sales Team. Where is this role located? Remote: This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the location you feel most productive and comfortable.
