Janssen Pharmaceutica is recruiting for a (Junior) Project leader in Geel, Belgium. The Geel site is the largest chemical production site for small molecule API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) within the Janssen supply chain. We ensure lifesaving medicines reach the patient, safely, optimality, competitively, always. Beside production of API's, the site has a launch & grow mission for new pharmaceutical products. To accomplice this mission, we keep investing in new technologies, people and partnerships. The role also offers the opportunity for a hybrid working pattern, 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. This is the perfect moment to join us! Responsibilities Project leadership for one or more engineering projects simultaneously, depending on size and complexity. Develop and present the pre-project definition outlining the business drivers, investigated solutions, proposed project scope, timeline, resources requirements, financials, risks and opportunities Prepare the project kick-off and apply project management best practices throughout the project to ensure full alignment within the project team, external partners and stakeholders Translate project scope into request for quotation packages Manage progress, quality and scope with external engineering firms, on site contractors and stakeholders Coordinate modifications and equipment installations on-site Maintain awareness of external environment, contributing value and insights Qualifications Experience While previous experience in leading capital projects is desired, we also encourage high potential starters to apply Education, Personality and skills You acquired a master’s degree, preferably in a technical or life sciences field An enthusiastic, standout colleague with a “Can do” mentality Natural leader with demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting High degree of accuracy, structured, flexible and customer oriented Independent and exploring person Flexible, can deal with changing priorities and stress resistant An individual who feels that safety and quality is of paramount importance!
