SENIOR CONTRACTS MANAGER (OFFSHORE WIND)</p>

Reports to: Commercial Manager </p>
<p>
Location: Aberdeen or London (hybrid working available)</p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
During the project development phase the main tasks of the Senior Contracts Manger will include:</p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
Careful development and management of the commercial relationships with key suppliers,</p>
<p>
Contributing to development of a commercial and procurement strategy for the pipeline of projects,</p>
<p>
Developing contract documentation for specific packages of work, including major construction contracts,</p>
<p>
Preparing and managing tender processes, </p>
<p>
Leading tender evaluation and making selection recommendations,</p>
<p>
Negotiation of contracts through to contract signature,</p>
<p>
Commercial management of contracts after signature through to completion of the related works, </p>
<p>
Effective claims and variations management to minimise cost overruns and ensure contractors comply with contract requirements,</p>
<p>
Reporting to and advising senior management on contract issues arising,</p>
<p>
Supporting the Capex and Opex estimation for the project, </p>
<p>
Supporting preparation of competitive bids for state financial support,</p>
<p>
Potential line management responsibility for junior members of the team if and when recruited.</p>
<p>
The contracts and agreements under the responsibility of the job holder include the following:</p>
<p>
Main supplier contracts for the project, including pre-FID agreements required with key suppliers and service and maintenance contractors,</p>
<p>
Agreements required for cable crossing and proximity agreements,</p>
<p>
Service and development agreements,</p>
<p>
Landowner and asset owner agreements, and seabed lease agreements, in particular to ensure project compliance with the lease</p>
<p>
The Senior Contracts Manager shall demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regards to HSE rules, and shall ensure that all activities she/he is responsible for, or involved in, are performed with the highest level of consideration to HSE risk management, protection of human's health, respect of various communities and care of environment.</p>

Desired Skills and Experience:</p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
The position will require a university degree or equivalent level of education, preferably in legal, general engineering, technical or commercial qualification. The candidate will demonstrate a broad-based commercial or technical background and first-class negotiations skills. Experience in the offshore wind environment is highly desirable. The position requires relevant experience in a contract negotiation and management environment, with significant experience of demonstrable contracting / procurement management experience.</p>

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they have the following capabilities: </p>
<p>
Knowledge of EPCI forms of contract,</p>
<p>
Leading all commercial aspects in the tendering and contracting phase,</p>
<p>
Strong commercial contract and negotiation skills,</p>
<p>
Be results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and produce concise information for senior management,</p>
<p>
Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage own workload, meet timescales and coordinate a number of external and internal stakeholders,</p>
<p>
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to enable effective discussion and transfer of information between contractors, team members and other stakeholders,</p>
<p>
Diligent and detail-focused,</p>
<p>
Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken),</p>
<p>
Ability to work as a member of a large, multidisciplinary and international team,</p>
<p>
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.</p>
