SR DESIGNER

<ul><li>Lead design activities and technical discussions.</li><li>Facilitate the integration of new team members.</li><li>Mentor junior designers and share best practice and innovation.</li><li>Keep abreast of Industry Codes and Guidelines.</li><li>Act as a technical expert for design issues, and provide quality engineering design services for Schlumberger products, for proposals, projects and warranty work.</li><li>Ensure compliance of Schlumberger designs with applicable industry codes, standards and regulations, and client specifications.</li><li>Meet or exceed customer expectations in timely manner within the budget limits.</li><li>Assist other Schlumberger locations and branches with design activities and troubleshooting issues. Serve as a representative for a product line within the design discipline.</li></ul><br><br><b>Minimum Job Qualifications</b><br> 1. Higher National Certificate (HNC) in relevant Engineering discipline, or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in the industry.<br>2. In depth knowledge of Drawing Office Practices and Procedures<br>3. In depth knowledge of Design Standards BS8888, ASME Y14.5, and/or in house Design/Draughting procedures.<br>4. Good working knowledge of structural steel typically used for modular design of onshore/offshore process equipment packages.<br>5. Good knowledge of pipe supports.<br>6. In depth knowledge of technical aspects of oil and gas products and processes (Schlumberger products/processes preferred).<br>7. Good knowledge and understanding of fabrication and NDE methods.<br>8. Good knowledge of the setup and administration of the CAD software in use by Schlumberger.<br>9. Proven experience with trouble-shooting of design related issues.<br>10. Ability to utilize MS Office software.<br>11. Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals outside the Company
