The opportunity KPMG leading cyber security practice provides a comprehensive suite of cyber security services, from cyber governance, strategy, defense and response, through to complete end-to-end cyber security transformation services. We are looking for a junior/entry level Cyber Security Professional to join our growing Cyber Security Services team as a Level 1 Triage Analyst within KPMG’s Managed Security Services practice. It is an excellent opportunity for those that are looking to work in a firm and department with great career progression opportunities and wanting to be part of building a premier cyber consulting team What you will do Perform real-time, continuous ‘eyes on glass’ security event monitoring, response and reporting Acknowledge tickets in ITSM based on service level definitions Conduct security event triage and validation of potential threats, following standard processes and work instructions Provide continuous monitoring of event logs, evaluate, and analyze, or correlate triggers based on established Threat Use Cases Perform event diagnosis based on identification playbooks to identify false positives or duplicates Execute daily tasks and activities including ticket review and follow up with tier 2/3 analysts, or an external client Escalate cyber security events according to established playbooks and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) What you bring to the role 1-2 years of experience in Cyber Security solutions within mid to large level organizations Experience with EDR and/or SIEM technologies Strong verbal and writing skills Experience in SOC environment is an asset.
