The Community and Content Executive is responsible for the strategic development and execution of the brand’s activity on social media. This role takes ownership of the brand’s owned social accounts and so is responsible for content planning, development, implementation, community management and reporting. This position will have access to a range of confidential information and so will require the personal characteristics of discretion and integrity. Owned social media management: Content planning and development – Capture, create, edit and execute engaging social-first video and stills content for organic and paid social media placements, briefing in artists, influencers and external partners to create content where required. Ownership of owned social media content calendars – responsible for content mapping and scheduling Community management – monitor conversation on brand social platforms, actively engage with the community by like-ing and responding to consumers on brand accounts and where the brand is tagged/mentioned on other accounts Work in partnership with Consumer Engagement Manager to understand brand’s press and influencer relationships, engage with influencers as they engage with the brand on social and share earned media coverage with Consumer Engagement Manager as required Work in partnership with broader marketing and brand team to ensure all brand activities and priorities are shared on social as required and where possible Work in partnership with internal team and external partners to support with content creation and ideation, maximising new formats, test and learn placements and opportunities for innovation. Reporting – monitor account performance, report on performance as required and look for opportunities within data Maintain a close eye on competitive communities and platforms and translate observations and insights into actionable opportunities for the brand Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks for the brand Develop and execute a strong and consistent tone of voice for the brand Continue to iterate our Brand’s Social Voice – ensuring everything we do from a consumer engagement perspective lives digitally Work in close partnership with corporate communications and closely with GCC to respond to consumer enquiries and concerns in a timely manner Ensure that social media comment streams related to Brand social responsibility issues are addressed proactively (animal testing etc) Regularly track, measure, and analyse all initiatives to understand effectiveness Prepare analytical data as requested Ensure complaints and potential issues are escalated accordingly and responses align with brand / legal guidance Responsible for seeking out and negotiating usage rights for user generated content that is repurposed across owned channels Ensure we are meeting all elements of Brilliant Basics with shoppable tags etc Compile and update media lists Liaise with Consumer Marketing & CRM Manager to launch new Brand social media platforms, as required Respond to Social Listening feedback to act swiftly and adapt Brand social strategies and content when necessary Ensure consumer content can be repurposed for our Education team and think broadly about usage when it’s being created Brand Fundamentals: Stay on top of the brand’s key attributes as seen by consumers, bloggers and influencers Understand the Brand’s competitive landscape, how consumers experience the brand and key challenges to overcome and then utilize this information to adapt the Brand’s social/digital activities Hold a thorough understanding of local consumer behaviors and preferences in the Digital/Social space Stay up-to-date with and track digital / social marketing trends, competitor’s activity and potential new channels and strategies to keep us ahead, including updates to social media marketing, attribution, threats and opportunities Act as role model for “Consumer first” and “Digital first” principles and keep the Brand team updated on developments in the social media space General: Work in partnership with other support personnel in Brand to assist in smooth flow of operations and Brand activities Provide administrative support for the Consumer Marketing team as required Provide content support to the Education team Keep all activities on track with agreed budgets Raise and manage POs as required Other general tasks as required by the Management Team Brand point of contact for Consumer Care / GCC The nature of the role will require working hours’ flexibility to ensure social content is posted regularly and community management is guaranteed outside of regular office hours Qualifications A strong creator who can create and write in the correct tone-of-voice, ensuring content and communications are always on-brand Finger on the pulse for all things social, beauty and entertainment – from viral trends, pop culture and the beauty industry – you know what content fosters engagement and interaction Be able to work independently to execute creative briefs for creators An understanding of the Australian and New Zealand influencer landscape Experience in content creation including, but not limited to, stills imagery, graphics, and video content Experience with Canva, video editing apps or software is highly desirable Ability to develop, recommend and implement new initiatives Team player – enthusiastic participation, flexibility, helpfulness and cooperation Adaptability – situational flexibility in handling change Ability to prioritise and handle several major tasks simultaneously Excellent organization, time management and follow up skills Excellent communication skills – verbal and written This is an operational role, which requires someone with a solid understanding of how online communities work/behave in the context of brand conversations Job: Marketing Primary Location: Asia Pacific-AU- Job Type: Standard Schedule: Full-time Shift: 1st (Day) Shift Job Number: 2214658
