E&I Construction Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is recruiting for a <b>Construction Engineer - E&I </b>(Electrical & Instrumentation) to join our team in Perth, Western Australia as part of its Operations APAC West business. <br><br>Wood delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the oil and gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers, actively supporting operations in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Kazakhstan. <br><br>You will be reporting directly to the Construction & Commissioning Manager and will perform a full range of Front End engineering from the design to execute phase, with potential to oversee the work when it goes offshore. <br><br>Your scope and responsibilities will be: <br><ul><li> Creating access workpacks </li><li> Input into construction feasibility studies for the project </li><li> Chairing constructability reviews </li><li> Providing inputs into schedule and estimates </li><li> Coordinating with personnel offshore </li></ul><br> At Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b>You will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia, and be available </b><b> for a Wood induction before August 22 nd 2022 to be considered for this role.</b><br><br>Suitably qualified in Engineering from a recognised institution, ideally you will have a trade background in striuctural, mechanical or piping although a tertiary qualification will also be considered along with 7+ years field experience within the oil & gas industry, preference would be currently working in a similar office-based role (Engineering / EPCM office) <br><br>In addition, you will have: <br><ul><li> Availability for an interview and medical </li><li> Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen </li></ul><br> <b>What will set you apart will be your current tickets/licenses for:</b> <br><ul><li> TBOSIET </li><li> CA-EBS </li><li> MSIC </li><li> Working at Heights (WAH) </li><li> Trade Certificate or Tertiary Background </li></ul><br> It takes a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds to unlock tomorrows solutions to the worlds most critical challenges.
